Jak dla mnie ideał :)

A fantastic expansion to an already fantastic game.

Scoundrels adds a lot more depth to a game that really needed it if you wanted to play it more. Lords is an amazing game that has a lot of replayability but eventually gets quite repetitive without any big power moves to be made.

Scoundrels adds high risk - high reward cards and the corruption mechanic which makes the game so much more interesting and diverse. If you liked Lords, then you will love Scoundrels as it makes it an even better game with much more depth.

Learning the new rules is super easy if you have played the base Lords at least once.

The game becomes even more interactive with the expansion due to the introduction of some really interesting Intrigue cards and some even more interesting quests.

Only flaw of it is that the amount of cards gets so huge that you might end up never seeing certain cards in play even after 10 games.

Jak dla mnie ideał :)

The best gateway game for getting people into euro board games and more specifically worker placement style games.

Theme - The theme is based on the Dungeons & Dragons setting and although it doesn't shine as much through the gameplay, the art and the idea that you are doing things in a familiar setting could actually be a pull for some people.
Aesthetics - The art is taken from the many books and other products that Wizards has released for D&D in the past. It actually helps bring in players who like D&D but have not played a board game like Lords before.
Mechanics - This is the main selling point of the game. Lords of Waterdeep is by far the simplest worker placement style game you will play and for that reason alone, it is a classic and a must have. You could play it with both new and more experienced players and have just about the same amount of fun. It is great for introducing players to the hobby and getting them to see just how much fun and strategy is involved in a worker placement style game.
Ease of Play - Really easy to learn. There are literally 2 actions and the symbols on the cards are extremely easy to learn too. Can be taught in under 2-3 minutes.
Luck/Strategy - The only luck involved in the game is that of what cards will be dealt on the table but just like most other games with cards that need to be shuffled, the randomness in this is kept to a minimum.

Lords of Waterdeep is a staple for a lot of board game enthusiasts for a good reason and it should not be missing from your library either.

Jak dla mnie ideał :)

The successor to the also amazing Stellar which was only for 2 players, Subastral plays somewhat the same way but adds a lot more complexity and choices to the mix.

Theme - This is a set collection game and although the only connection to the theme is the "adding cards to your journal", the evocative art makes it as thematic as it can be for this kind of game.
Aesthetics - The painterly images are perfect for this kind of simple set collection style game.
Mechanics - So, as already mentioned, this plays very much like Stellar and it adds a bit more. In Stellar, there was no "hand management" whereas here, you can take entire turns where you just pick up cards to use later. You can also wait for the right turn to pick up more cards and put them in your hand or your journal. The whole idea of deciding to do one or the other makes the game simple but at the same time intricate enough to introduce a lot of options and strategy.
Replayability - Subastral is definitely one of those set collection games that have a lot of replayability, especially with more players since the deck gets bigger and the games differ far more from one another.
Ease of Play - This is a very easy to learn game but at the same time, it is extremely difficult to master. Learning how to calculate what the best approach will be to get more points in the end of the game will take quite a few plays and even the most experienced set collection style players will need some time with this one.
Luck/Strategy - In regards to luck, it all comes down to how the cards are shuffled and dealt but other than that, there is no other kind of luck involved. In terms of strategy, as explained above for the ease of play, the game has x8 different biomes with some being more frequent than others, so there is a lot to plan forward for. The way you score points in this game is very interesting and it allows for a lot of strategy to be involved in it. You have to adapt and change your strategy with every new card that gets revealed and added to the top row.

Subastral is a very fun set collection style game that plays just as well with 2 as it does with more players. It plays fast enough to even work as a filler but is definitely much heavier thinking-wise than most other filler games are.

This game is exactly what you want to get if you are looking for something different and fast. At first we thought it was just a "one-trick-pony" game but it quickly became one of our favorites.

Theme - It doesn't have a huge connection to the jungle theme but if you play with the timer app on your phone, the jungle sounds make it very fun. The sound of the ticking clock also adds a bit more intensity to the game.
Aesthetics - Very colorful and well designed to accomodate the game mechanics.
Mechanics - The game plays very quickly and I actually have to say that I found the "approximately 20 minutes" to be a huge lie since it takes about 10 minutes to finish a full game even between a lot of players playing on hard (shorter timer which makes you fail a lot).
Replayability - TONS of it. You can change the boards around and have something new every time.
Ease of Play - Very easy but definitely needs some getting used to. You will need to play at least a couple of times to realize that you need to start remembering where symbols are for the next rounds.
Luck/Strategy - As expected, this is a dexterity/puzzle game so there is not much strategy, although being quick to pick the right symbol once you've finished your puzzle can be crucial. Sometimes, you don't want to go too far so that your next puzzle is not too hard and that way you can pass your opponent faster. Definitely quite a bit of luck though as the next puzzle combination might be easier for your opponent to solve due to how their board might be set up. You cannot control that luck and it will just happen from time to time, but it is not a very big deal.

Definitely a must-buy in my opinion if you want to have a very unique board game in your library.

Dobry, solidny produkt

This game is the perfect gateway board game for getting people that haven't played any other board games before. It is a nice way to introduce non-gamers to the hobby.

At the same time, the game gets quite repetitive after a couple of plays and more experienced players might get tired of it fast as there is not much strategy in it and the randomness of the cards does not help much with planning ahead either. If you really like the game but want something different, then you should definitely try each of the different versions (such as other continents).
